Role OverView -

At Lokal, we don't just ship features we craft experiences.We're looking for an Engineering Manager who blends deep technical expertise with a genuine passion for mentoring young engineers. What you'll do:

• Own architecture, code quality, and delivery for all things frontend - React Native + Android Native
• Guide your team with empathy, clarity, and structure, helping them grow into the engineers they aspire to be
• Leverage the latest advancements in AI tools to boost productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and free up engineers to focus
  

on creative problem-solving and high-leverage work.

• Drive mobile performance, clean UI implementation, and scalable frontend systems
• Collaborate deeply with Product, Design, and Backend to ship pixel-perfect, user-loved features
• Be the bridge between leadership and the dev trenches - leading from the front
• Build an outcome-driven team that cares deeply about the product and not just hours spent
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience; 5+ years in mobile frontend
• 2+ years leading or managing & building engineering teams
• You've shipped large-scale mobile apps and have the scars to show for it
• Strong in React Native and Android Native (Kotlin/Java)
• You're obsessed with clean architecture, design systems, and creating seamless experiences
• You love debugging performance issues as much as you love mentoring a junior dev
• You care about your code, your team, and your users
