Role & responsibilities

Lead Software Engineer Mobile Automation (Appium)

Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable, maintainable mobile automation frameworks using Appium for native and hybrid applications.
Drive cross-functional collaboration between QA, DevOps, and development teams to establish standardized automation practices and test strategies.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in Appium best practices, Page Object Model, CI/CD integration, and flakiness reduction.
Own end-to-end test lifecycle: from test planning and framework development to execution, reporting, and defect triage.
Ensure high test coverage, performance, and reliability across diverse device and OS versions using cloud and local device farms.
Integrate automation with Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, enabling parallel execution, environment isolation, and real-time reporting.
Champion adoption of BDD, visual regression testing, and accessibility validation within mobile test suites.
Proactively identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and scalability issues in automation infrastructure.
Deliver quarterly automation health reports, KPIs, and roadmap plans aligned with product and quality objectives.
