Mobile Automation Test Engineer - Appium/Java

As a motivated Automation Test Engineer with around 2+ years of experience in mobile test automation, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications using Appium or any other related tool. You will collaborate with developers, QA team members, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios. Additionally, you will execute automated regression suites as part of the CI/CD pipeline, perform functional, regression, and compatibility testing for mobile platforms, and log, track, and retest defects in Jira (or equivalent). When required, you will also support manual testing focusing on exploratory and edge-case scenarios. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium or any other related tool for mobile applications (Android/iOS). - Collaborate with developers, QA team members, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios. - Execute automated regression suites as part of the CI/CD pipeline. - Perform functional, regression, and compatibility testing for mobile platforms. - Log, track, and retest defects in Jira (or equivalent). - Support manual testing when required, focusing on exploratory and edge-case scenarios. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Appium or any other related tool (Java/Python preferred). - Good understanding of mobile testing concepts (UI, gestures, device compatibility, network conditions). - Experience with TestNG / JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git for version control. - Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). - Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira or Azure Boards. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an Agile environment. Additionally, nice-to-have skills include knowledge of cloud-based mobile testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs), experience in API testing using Postman/RestAssured, and ISTQB or similar certification.
