We are a growing US-based firm headquartered in Chicago seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced Controller to support our finance operations in Delhi (India ). This is a key role responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency in line with US accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and manage the company’s general ledger , including journal entries, adjustments, and account reconciliations. Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly, promptly resolving any discrepancies. Accurately record all financial transactions including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), invoicing, receipts, and expenses . Prepare and deliver monthly and year-end financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Support annual audit processes and ensure that all documentation complies with statutory and internal requirements. Monitor and manage cash flow , providing timely updates and financial insights to management. Maintain comprehensive financial records for tax preparation and compliance , ensuring proper documentation and organization. Ensure all accounting and bookkeeping activities conform to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) . Qualifications: US CPA, Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent qualification in accounting. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping/accounting, with proven experience supporting US-based companies . Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks , Xero, or similar platforms. In-depth understanding of general ledger functions, financial reporting, and reconciliations . Strong command of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail . Ability to handle confidential financial data with discretion and integrity. Experience with payroll processing and tax filings is a strong plus. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with federal and Illinois state tax and accounting regulations. Prior experience working with small or mid-sized businesses in the US. Advanced Excel capabilities including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
