Job Title: Senior Data Scientist Location: Kolkata/Bangalore (Remote/Hybrid options available) Company: Inxite-out Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role will involve leading data science initiatives, developing advanced machine learning models, and providing actionable insights for business strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, statistical analysis, and business problem-solving, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities & Skills: Lead the development of advanced predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning, forecasting and other statistical methods Working knowledge of regression, classification, clustering, association algorithms and model optimization techniques Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data science solutions Design and implement end-to-end data science workflows, including data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, model building, and evaluation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and integrate models into production environments Perform model validation, fine-tuning, and optimization to ensure accuracy and scalability Identify and investigate anomalies or unexpected behaviours in model outputs Build REST APIs using Fast/Flask, move models into production, ensure expected accuracies and throughput for the model Mentor and guide junior data scientists, providing technical expertise and leadership Qualifications: Bachelors or master’s in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 4+ years of experience in data science or a similar analytical role, with a proven track record of delivering impactful projects Strong proficiency in python with experience in libraries like pandas, NumPy, Spacy, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn etc. Experience in working with cloud platforms (Azure), Databricks, PySpark Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of ML model development, hyper-parameter tuning, and production deployment Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, feature engineering Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and adapt to complex business challenges Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data-driven concepts to a non-technical audience Experience in leading and mentoring junior team members. Strong understanding of MLOps- lifecycle of a machine learning model Additional Skills (good to have): Knowledge of deep learning, CNN, MLP, OpenCV etc. Working knowledge of NLP/GenAI based solutions Experience working with SAP (S/4 HANA, BW) is a plus
