Job PurposeAs a CCTV Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CCTV surveillance systems and related security equipment. You will work with a variety of hardware and software solutions to ensure the effective monitoring of security operations, delivering exceptional service and ensuring client satisfaction. Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation and Setup: Install CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and associated security equipment. Position cameras strategically for optimal coverage. Handle wiring, networking, and power supply setups for CCTV systems. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Regularly maintain and test CCTV systems to ensure peak performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to camera systems, recorders, and wiring. Provide timely repairs to minimize system downtime. System Configuration and Integration: Set up video management systems (VMS) and integrate CCTV systems with other security technologies (alarms, access control). Configure network settings for IP cameras and ensure remote access is functional for clients. Customer Support: Provide expert technical support to clients, assisting with system operation and troubleshooting. Educate clients on the proper use of the CCTV system and security best practices. Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of installations, maintenance, repairs, and customer interactions. Prepare and submit reports on completed work and system health. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installations adhere to safety standards, company policies, and relevant security regulations. Maintain compliance with local privacy laws and security industry standards.
