Job Title: Area Sales Manager (Namkeen Division) Department: Sales & Marketing Location: West Bengal - Kolkata Job Objective: To drive sales, distribution, and market share of namkeen products in the assigned geographical area. The ASM will manage a team of Sales Officers, oversee distributors, and ensure implementation of the company's sales strategies. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales & Revenue Targets Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Drive secondary and tertiary sales. Monitor daily sales reports and take corrective actions. 2. Channel Management Appoint and manage distributors/dealers/stockists in the assigned area. Ensure optimal stock availability and proper inventory rotation. Maintain relationships with key retail accounts and channel partners. 3. Team Management Lead, train, and motivate a team of Sales Officers and Field Sales Executives. Monitor team performance and ensure target achievement. Conduct regular market visits and joint fieldwork. 4. Market Development Identify and tap into new markets and expansion opportunities. Track competitor activities, pricing, and promotions. Ensure proper product visibility and merchandising at retail outlets. 5. Promotions & Schemes Implement promotional schemes, product launches, and campaigns effectively. Ensure the proper execution of POS (point of sale) materials and branding. 6. MIS & Reporting Maintain sales and expense reports. Provide market feedback and consumer insights to management. Forecast demand and coordinate with the supply chain for timely deliveries. Key Skills Required: Strong knowledge of FMCG sales (preferably snacks/namkeen category). Distributor handling and retail sales expertise. Leadership and team management abilities. Negotiation and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in local language and territory knowledge. Experienced Sales Officers and TSIs currently working in the namkeen, chips, snacks, or packaged food segments across all major locations in West Bengal , including: Kolkata, Howrah, Durgapur, Asansol, Siliguri, Malda, Berhampore, Kharagpur, Bardhaman, and more are also encouraged to apply. Experience: 4 to 8 years in FMCG sales; at least 2 years in a supervisory or ASM role. Experience in the snacks/namkeen category is highly desirable. Salary: Negotiable (Salary is not a constraint for deserving candidates).
