In the role of a QA Automation Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include: - Implementing API automation testing using open-source tools to establish an automation framework that reduces manual testing efforts. - Developing, reviewing, and updating automation test cases for product functionalities. - Testing system functionalities to ensure the correct delivery of products. - Reporting and managing bugs using BTS platforms like JIRA/Bugzilla. - Conducting root cause analysis for system issues and effectively communicating them to the team for prompt resolution. - Ensuring the product under test aligns with both functional and business requirements. - Contributing to and enhancing existing quality processes. - Creating and maintaining regression test suites. - Understanding the technical architecture of products and feature implementations. - Providing support for production deployments and issue triaging as per the schedule, occasionally including weekends. Key Responsibilities: - Independently designing, conducting feasibility studies, and developing automation frameworks from scratch while creating detailed test cases for various products on mobile and web platforms. - Collaborating closely with product, development, and testing teams to analyze product requirements and define test scope. Secondary Responsibilities: - Demonstrating leadership and proactive behavior through independent problem-solving. - Collaborating effectively with other test team members and development team members to achieve goals. To excel in this role, you will need: - Strong knowledge of Java, data structures, object-oriented programming concepts, and their applications. - Understanding of web technologies such as HTTP, REST, etc. - Familiarity with database concepts and query languages like SQL. - Conceptual understanding of client-server architecture. - Hands-on experience in manual or automated testing of web/mobile applications. - Experience with performance testing and load testing tools like JMeter. - Proactive, assertive, quick-thinking, and strong-minded approach. - Track record of successfully running projects testing via automation. - Experience in API test automation using tools like Rest Assured or Karate DSL. - Working knowledge of proxy sniffing tools like MITM Proxy, Charles Proxy, Fiddler, etc. - Scripting and automation experience with Java-based tools like Selenium or Protractor. - Expertise in at least one API testing tool such as Postman, Newman, or SoapUI.,
