In TIS, the Service Information Specialist creates and maintains Service information for Caterpillar products. What You Will Do Develop Service information (Engines) for delivery via the Service Information System (SIS) to dealers and customers worldwide for servicing Machines, Engines Utilize the ACM (Advanced content management) system and other Adobe tools to develop Service Information supporting New Product Introduction s (NPI) and regular Product changes. Involve complex research of engineering information using 3D Models in Vismockup/Creo/ PRWB, SIS2.0. Collaborate with Developers, Project leaders, Product design and Engineering teams globally Create graphics using 3D models for service information. Create 3D CAD models , manufacturing drawings and assemblies for the Weir products and systems based on the design requirement Perform engineering calculations and simulations for design validation Ensure that the deliverables align with relevant design requirements (specifications, standards, schedule, etc.) and best industry practices/guidelines. Execute projects as per defined quality, on time delivery & schedule. Work independently without supervision. Communicate/report/document technical information with project team and customer. Perform drive calculations based on the inputs provided and able to independently select & decide the necessary sheaves, bushings, belts, gearbox, and couplings etc. Perform quality checking of drawing generated by peers and provide feedbacks. Education B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the area of mechanical engineering and system design. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Strong mechanical design engineering knowledge. Able to perform and interpret engineering calculation and simulation Thorough understanding of manufacturing process is required. Good product knowledge any type of mechanical machines and tooling Able to do system engineering and integration of equipment like pumps, valves, vibrating equipment, electric motors etc. Good understanding of mechanical drives, bearings, exciters, structures etc. Basic knowledge on metals and materials and its application Conversant with GD&T and basic drawing principles Must be proficient in using 3D & 2D solid modelling tools.
