Job Description

Job Summary: The Milling Operator is responsible for the preparation of raw materials by grinding and milling grains to the required specifications for fermentation and distillation. Key Responsibilities: Operate milling equipment such as hammer mills and roller mills to process grains. Adjust grinding settings to achieve the desired particle size for fermentation. Monitor feed rates, moisture levels, and quality of milled product. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation of milling equipment. Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials to prevent contamination. Maintain accurate logs of milling operations and raw material usage. Identify and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime. Follow safety and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Qualifications & Skills: ITI (technical certification is a plus). Minimum of 5 years of experience in milling operations, preferably in a distillery or food processing plant. Familiarity with milling equipment and grain processing techniques. Knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
