Role & responsibilities Were seeking an experienced Content Lead to lead, inspire, and manage a team of 5 to 10 content writers. You will be responsible for crafting and executing content strategies that align with client goals and Midland Marketings standards for creativity and quality. Your leadership will be vital in delivering engaging, SEO-optimised, and conversion-focused content across various channels. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of content writers, ensuring high-quality outputs and continuous skills development. Develop, implement, and oversee content plans that align with client objectives and Midland Marketing’s brand voice. Collaborate closely with SEO specialists, account managers, designers, and other marketing teams to create cohesive campaigns. Manage content workflows, deadlines, publishing, and quality control using project management tools. Review and edit content for clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency before publication. Identify content gaps and emerging trends to continuously improve Midland Marketing’s offerings. Analyse content performance metrics and report insights to senior management. Requirements Proven experience (3+ years) leading content teams within an agency or marketing environment. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail. Solid understanding of SEO best practices and digital content trends. Experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines effectively. Familiarity with CMS platforms, Google Analytics, and project management tools like Monday, Zapier, or Trello. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to foster a collaborative, creative, and productive team culture. Knowledge of the Midlands business landscape or UK regional marketing is a plus.
