Middleware Integration Engineer

As a Middleware Integration Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for building and managing the secure backbone that connects our WealthTech platform to the broader financial ecosystem. You will play a crucial role in developing robust and scalable APIs, architecting event-driven flows, and managing a highly secure integration layer using technologies like Node.js, Kong API Gateway, Kafka, and RabbitMQ. Key Responsibilities: - Build and manage middleware services to establish connections between internal systems and external platforms. - Develop RESTful APIs and asynchronous flows using Node.js and Kafka/RabbitMQ. - Configure Kong API Gateway to ensure secure routing, throttling, and authentication. - Handle SFTP and message-based file transfers for external data ingestion. - Implement robust security measures using OAuth2, JWT, API keys, and rate-limiting. - Write code that is testable, maintainable, and includes proper logging and monitoring. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in backend or middleware engineering. - Proficiency in Node.js and designing REST APIs. - Demonstrated ability to work with Kong API Gateway or similar platforms. - Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SFTP, and financial data formats like FIX, OFX, JSON, and XML. - Strong focus on security and adherence to clean code practices.
