QuinStreet is currently seeking a Java Developer Contractor to join their team in Pune, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Java and Web development. Responsibilities include developing, troubleshooting, and enhancing websites, influencing design decisions, and collaborating with various teams across the organization. The role focuses on impacting the fast-growing online media space, supporting business verticals by developing new applications, and optimizing existing ones to improve the overall business objectives. Key responsibilities of the Java Developer Contractor include providing support and deployment of web applications for online content-rich properties, coding, unit testing, and ensuring the quality of web applications, participating in business discussions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, solving technical problems, and writing clean and sustainable code. Additionally, the role involves designing, developing, and supporting consumer-facing web applications, performing requirements analysis and design discussions, and working on multiple projects simultaneously. The desired skills and experience for this role include: - Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on software development experience in Core Java (1.8) with expertise in Collections, Multithreading, OOPS, Data Structure, Spring Boot, Rest API, etc. - Proficiency in object-oriented analysis and design concepts, as well as design patterns. - Solid implementation experience and knowledge of middle-tier frameworks. - Experience with application servers like JBoss and Tomcat, and knowledge of SQL and working with RDBMS like Oracle. - Familiarity with working in a UNIX and/or LINUX environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - A BS/MS in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
