As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for a diverse range of structural design projects including solid fuel-fired boilers, oil and gas-fired boilers structures, Piperack, and duct support structures. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing structural designs in compliance with various codes such as IS Codes (IS800, IS9178, IS6353, IS808), and international codes like AISC, BS, ASCE, and JIS. - Conducting detailed engineering and planning for supporting structures and non-pressure part equipment for power plants. - Utilizing STAAD-Pro for structural design of power plant equipment and recommending cost-effective design solutions. - Proficiency in software tools such as STAAD, AutoCAD, Tekla, STAAD Foundation, IDEA STATICA, and Microsoft Suite. - Designing earthquake-resistant structures with Response Spectra analysis and detailed design and analysis of various components. Additionally, you will be responsible for: - Preparation of design reports for various structures and equipment. - Material selection, requisitions, and BOQ preparations. - Preparation of civil foundation load data and design of foundation bolts and base plates. - Connection design using IDEA STATICA software. Your skills should include proficiency in STAAD-PRO, IDEA STATICA software, and knowledge of structural design standards and software tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unforeseen problems are essential in this role. Knowledge of the Japanese language is considered an extra advantage.
