The Opportunity As a Platform Project Manager, you will leverage your skills and experience to drive and coordinate project work to best practices within a technical platform / cloud infrastructure team to implement driving continuous improvement delivery. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting and mentoring the platform engineering and operations team, fostering good communication, organization, planning, commitment and overcoming challenges inside the team and across other teams within Gentrack and our third-party partners. The platform engineering operations team is responsible for managing the infrastructure of Gentrack&aposs core products on a global scale within engineering and operational disciplines. The team collaborates seamlessly to develop, build, test, deploy, operate, and manage infrastructure hosting solutions for our customers. As a Platform Project Manager, you will play a pivotal part in proactively planning and coordination the delivery of technical project delivery whilst addressing challenges with your colleagues and customers as they arise. Your expertise will be crucial in managing projects and collaborating with key stakeholders collectively achieve successful delivery. The Specifics Own the end-to-end delivery of platform projects from initiation through to closure. Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones using professional tools such as Microsoft Planner, Project, Jira, or equivalent. Coordinate resources across product development, delivery including programme, customer success, engineering and platform, security, and finance to meet delivery goals. Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable updates. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve blockers or escalate when necessary. Track and report on project KPIs, budgets, and timelines for leadership visibility. Organise and run stand-ups, planning meetings, retrospectives, and status updates. Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date and lessons learned are captured for future projects. Work to standard UK business hours (between 8am and 6pm) to ensure close integration and coordination with EMEA based team members. What we&aposre looking for Proven track record (5+ years) of successfully managing infrastructure or platform delivery projects, preferably in cloud environments, and more specifically AWS. Strong understanding of cloud concepts, ideally AWS (no deep technical expertise required, but ability to follow discussions and ask the right questions). Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities. Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Planner, MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent. Confident communicator with excellent presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving mindset, able to adapt quickly to change. Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies. Knowledge of IT governance, risk, and compliance considerations in cloud projects is a plus.
