Microsoft Entra Application Proxy Engineer

Role Overview: As a Microsoft Entra Application Proxy Engineer at EY, you will be responsible for supporting and administering the Microsoft Entra Application Proxy infrastructure. You will utilize ITIL methodologies to provide technical support and expertise for secure access to on-premises applications through Azure Active Directory. Your role will involve vendor management, infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, deployments, documentation, knowledge sharing, training, troubleshooting, resolving customer issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience while contributing to the overall success of the service. Additionally, you will manage Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies to enhance security and performance. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the configuration and administration of Microsoft Entra Application Proxy to ensure secure access to on-premises applications. - Oversee the integration and management of Azure Front Door and WAF policies to optimize application delivery and security. - Facilitate new application onboarding by following the intake process, coordinating with stakeholders, and obtaining necessary security consulting approvals. - Possess strong troubleshooting capabilities for application connectivity and access issues. - Follow ITIL-defined processes such as incident, problem, and change management. - Monitor and report on the Microsoft Entra Application Proxy to ensure optimal performance and reliability. - Conduct evaluations and testing for new features and integrations. - Perform maintenance and upgrade activities for the Application Proxy infrastructure. - Evaluate and recommend new product and/or service offerings by collaborating with vendors. Qualifications Required: - Experience in managing and configuring Microsoft Entra Application Proxy or similar application access solutions. - Strong understanding of Entra ID/Active Directory, modern authentication, and its integration with on-premises applications. - Familiarity with Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies. - Skilled in supporting modern workplace tools and resources. - Good understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, firewalls, and VPNs. - Familiarity with identity and access management principles and practices.
