As an Embedded Systems Hardware and Software Development Manager at Atlas Copco's Global Engineering Center in India, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing projects related to product controllers and smart solutions. Your mission is to drive innovation, technical competence, and operational excellence within the Embedded Systems teams to position GECIA as the preferred technology partner. Your responsibilities will encompass customer focus, people management, innovation, and operational excellence. In terms of customer focus, you will anticipate and address customer needs, enhance satisfaction levels, and maintain proactive communication with stakeholders. You will also establish effective governance mechanisms to track project progress and business engagement activities. People focus is essential as you recruit, train, mentor, and develop talent within the team. Your leadership will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, team success, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will drive employee engagement and high performance. Innovation is a key aspect of your role, where you will stay updated on industry trends, drive a culture of innovation within the team, and promote cross-pollination of technologies. Leveraging internal and external forums, you will develop infrastructure and partnerships for impactful innovative solutions. Operational excellence will be another focus area, where you will monitor and improve quality, delivery, and cost parameters. You will lead the team to ensure high project billability, profitability, and revenue realization. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Embedded Systems, with people management experience being essential. Proficiency in embedded system architecture, programming languages, real-time operating systems, microcontrollers, communication protocols, project management, and quality assurance is required. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science are desirable qualifications.
