Job Description – Trainee (Quality Control & Production Supervision) Job Title: Trainee – Quality Control & Production Supervision Department: Production / Operations Reports To: Workshop Manager / PPC Engineer Location: Kabilpore GIDC , Navsari Type: Full-Time, Entry Level Commitment - 2 years Objective: To assist in maintaining product quality and ensuring smooth shopfloor operations by learning and applying quality inspection procedures and production supervision skills under guidance. Key Responsibilities: 🔧 A. Quality Control (QC) – Under Supervision Learn to perform basic visual and dimensional inspections of parts during and after production. Follow standard checklists and inspection procedures. Assist in identifying defective items and tagging them for rework or rejection. Maintain basic QC records such as checklists and reports. Support the preparation of Final Inspection Reports under QC head's guidance. 🏭 B. Production Supervision – On the Job Monitor the daily workflow on the shopfloor. Help allocate tasks to workers as per instructions from the PPC/Production head. Check that operators are following work instructions and quality practices. Maintain Daily Production Logs and submit end-of-day status reports. Ensure that basic safety and cleanliness rules are followed. Training & Support Provided: Orientation on product knowledge, QC tools, and process flow. Hands-on training in: Using measuring tools (vernier, micrometer, gauges) Reading job orders and technical drawings (basic) Maintaining documentation and logs Mentoring from the QC lead and Production In-Charge.
