This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain real-world experience in hardware development, prototyping, and product testing. Key Responsibilities: Assist in schematic design and PCB layout ( KiCad, or Eagle). Support prototyping, soldering, and hardware debugging (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers). Conduct component selection, BOM preparation, and validation testing. Collaborate on embedded firmware development (C/C++, Arduino, ESP32, STM32, etc.). Document designs, test procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Work with cross-functional teams (firmware, mechanical, and production teams). Requirements: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Basic understanding of analog/digital circuits, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, BLE, etc.). Familiarity with PCB design tools (KiCad, Altium, OrCAD) and simulation tools (LTspice, Proteus). Hands-on experience with breadboarding, soldering, and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs). The team is looking for a Senior Design Engineer to architect, design and implement high quality, robust, and state of the art board hardware for a wide range of businesses and targeted verticals. The individual is responsible for all aspects of the product from the R&D design stage, bring-up, production support, and sustaining engineering as needed. Job Responsibilities Architect, design, and support a variety of mission critical NXP platforms and associated tradeoffs for complex electronic systems that span hardware, software, and mechanical aspects. Participate in reviews of schematics and layouts to improve products across the Hardware Solutions team Perform PISI simulations when required. Provide design expertise and regional support for BU silicon, application teams, and third parties as needed. Work closely with our SoC and Applications team & Third parties to ensure requirements are properly defined and documented. Ensure board designs are cost effective for their intended applications. Provide technical oversight into the CAD team with respect to proper PCB layout design and best practices. Prepare test procedures and associated test reports documenting the lab results.
