Department: Driver Development / R&D. Job Summary: We are seeking highly capable Driver Developers with strong expertise in Python, Node.js and knowledge of understanding device specific API information, device communication protocols [TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, RESTful, Websockets, MQTT, etc.] and XML data structures. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining integration drivers for automation controllers, ensuring reliable and scalable communication between automation processors and end devices. Key Responsibilities: • Develop Integration Drivers for Automation Controllers using Python and Node.js . • Consume and interpret API/SDK documentation from Smart Home device manufacturers. • Implement communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, MQTT, Serial (RS232/RS485), etc. • Define and manage driver-related metadata using XML. • Collaborate with the QA team to test, debug, and validate drivers across multiple environments. • Maintain driver documentation for deployment and usage. • Research new APIs, SDKs, and communication standards to expand integration driver ecosystem. Technical Skills & Requirements: • Proficiency in Python and Node.js. • Hands-on experience working with APIs (REST, WebSockets, JSON, XML). • Strong understanding of device communication protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT, Serial, etc.). • Experience in working with XML for data/configuration management. • Ability to parse and implement technical API/SDK documentation into functional software modules. • Knowledge of asynchronous programming (async/await, event-driven frameworks). • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills • Good communication and documentation skills. • Familiarity with smart home architecture and protocols such as Matter, Modbus, Ethernet, Zigbee or Z- Wave (bonus). • Skilled in using debugging tools (Packet Sender, Advanced IP Scanners, Hercules, Wireshark). Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) : • Experience in Home Automation / IoT / Embedded Systems. • Familiarity with KNX, Lutron, BTicino, Crestron, AMX, or similar automation systems. • Knowledge of Git / version control tools. • Understanding of Home Automation & IoT ecosystems.
