As a Busbar Engineering Manager at our power and signal business unit within the consumer and commercial division, you will be responsible for leading the busbar engineering team, supporting global busbar growth, and contributing to power distribution unit projects. Your role will involve designing and developing various categories of busbars, providing expertise in thermal management and structural evaluations, and ensuring customer-centric development by closely interacting with customers to understand their requirements and provide suitable solutions. In addition to being proficient in busbar design and development, you will lead talent development initiatives, manage resources effectively, and establish workflow processes to handle requests from various geographies and plants. You will drive program management, people management, and priority management, while also overseeing fixture design for busbar assembly and product design/development. Your responsibilities will extend to material selection, vendor selection, vendor development, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as UL and IEC. To qualify for this role, you should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and developing busbars, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience in managing an engineering team. Proficiency in NX CAD, Team center, and Polarion or equivalent software is essential, along with excellent presentation and communication skills. Additionally, a deep understanding of product design and development, people management, and proactive problem-solving skills are required. Preferred qualifications include good customer interaction skills, knowledge of manufacturing processes and product testing, a curious and innovative mindset, strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities, and a solid engineering background.
