Role & responsibilities Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our IoT/IIoT team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in LoRaWAN firmware development, MQTT protocol, and AWS IoT Core integration, with a strong background in working with STM32 and ESP32 processors. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying firmware solutions for devices utilizing digital I/O, RS485 communication, pulse counting, and analog sensors (including 4-20mA). Your role will be critical in advancing our IoT solutions, and you should be comfortable working across various hardware interfaces. Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop firmware for LoRaWAN devices using STM32 and ESP32 processors. - Implement and integrate the MQTT protocol for IoT communication. - Experience with up chirpstack server - Work with AWS IoT Core to connect, manage, and secure IoT devices. - Develop drivers for RS485 and digital I/O communication protocols. - Interface with pulse counting devices, analog sensors (4-20mA), and digital inputs/outputs. - Optimize firmware for FreeRTOS environments. - Collaborate with hardware teams to design solutions that integrate with analog and digital sensors. - Optimize power consumption and performance for IoT devices. - Test, debug, and ensure reliability and robustness of firmware across a variety of industrial environments. Generate and follow up on leads through field visits, phone calls, and online platforms. Customer Engagement Connect with property owners, managers, and facility administrators to present Mettsenias prepaid sub-metering solutions. Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Product Demonstration & Technical Presentation Demonstrate the working of Smart Electricity along with the MettsPe (user) and MettsCred (owner) mobile apps. Explain benefits such as prepaid recharge, real-time monitoring, consumption tracking, and automated billing. Sales Closure & Documentation Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize sales orders. Ensure timely completion of installation, activation, and customer onboarding. Familiarity with electrical metering concepts (single-phase, three-phase, Modbus, prepaid systems) and basic IoT/automation technologies will be an added advantage. Proven ability to achieve sales targets and handle lead generation, client demonstrations, negotiations, and payment follow-ups . Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical customers. Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to travel extensively across assigned territories for field visits and installations.
