As a System Engineer based in Bangalore with 7-12 years of experience, you will specialize in big data systems. Your main focus will be on ensuring high-quality work to avoid rework and ensuring that delivery is right the first time. You will be responsible for developing changes to both internal and 3rd party system components following established practices and guidance using the latest tools and techniques. Operating existing systems and resolving issues with the help of engineers using existing procedures, your knowledge, and the knowledge of those around you will be a key part of your role. Your technical skills will include a range of expertise in Compute Platforms such as Windows, Linux, Virtualization, Public & Private cloud, and databases like Oracle, SQL administration, and NoSQL databases. Additionally, you will have general skills in DevOps tools, scripting, version control, and monitoring, with a focus on monitoring application usage & configurations. Understanding agile ways of working and collaborating with end users and other engineering teams to create templates for onboarding will also be important aspects of your role. Keeping your technical knowledge up to date and tracking new technologies, you will successfully implement changes while being aware of change management processes.
