Job Summary: • The Senior Engineer will lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for high-precision aerospace components. This role requires expertise in advanced manufacturing techniques, quality systems, and industry standards. Report to the Engineering Manager and contribute to strategic engineering decisions and project execution. Requirements: 1. As a Production Engineer based in Pune, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to the CU Shop in terms of method engineering, cutting tools selection, CNC programming, and new in-house component proving for NPD/EPD projects. Your role will also involve running continuous improvement projects to optimize the performance of CNC machines. Alfa Laval is a company dedicated to engineering innovation for a sustainable future. Your responsibilities as a Production Engineer will include CNC machine programming for DMG, NT, Hicell, Okuma, etc. with Siemens and Fanuc control systems, improving cutting tools and methods for productivity, providing engineering support to CU shop for method establishment, designing tools/jigs/fixtures for process improvement, coordinating machining optimization projects in HSS, maintaining a computerized tool register, selecting cutting tools, estimating costs, and following up on tool prove-outs as per ISO standards. To excel in this role, you should hold a BE Mechanical/DME degree with 5 to 7+ years of experience, preferably in CNC machine programming. You should be proficient in 3D modeling and assembly, tool path generation in Edgecam software, reading geometrical tolerances on drawings, fluent in English and the local language, skilled in tool design of various jigs/fixtures and soft jaws, and experienced in AutoCAD for making 2D drawings.
