You are a qualified and detail-oriented Metallurgy Analyst in the metal sector, responsible for analysing and testing the physical, chemical, and microstructural properties of metals to support production, quality assurance, and R&D activities. You will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure metal products meet internal specifications and industry standards while adhering to compliance requirements. Your key responsibilities include conducting physical and mechanical testing of metals, analysing chemical composition of raw materials and alloys, supporting failure analysis investigations, maintaining and calibrating metallurgical lab equipment, preparing technical reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and assisting in developing and improving metallurgical processes and heat treatment procedures. Collaboration with quality, production, and R&D teams on material selection and process optimization is vital. To qualify for this role, you need a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical, along with 3 years of experience in metallurgical analysis or quality control within the metal/steel industry. You should have a strong understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, casting, forging, or rolling processes, familiarity with Indian Standards (IS codes), ASTM, and other global metallurgical standards, proficiency in MS Office and report writing, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a methodical problem-solving approach. Preferred skills include experience in failure analysis, corrosion testing, or weld analysis, as well as working knowledge of ERP systems. Quality Engineer (diesel engine materials engineering and metallurgical analysis Experience ) We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Quality Engineer with 4 to 6 years of specialized experience in Diesel Engine Materials Engineering and Metallurgical Analysis. This critical role is instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of quality and integrity for our diesel engine components and systems. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting in-depth metallurgical analysis of raw materials, in-process components, and finished engine parts to assess their microstructure, mechanical properties, and compliance with specifications. You will be responsible for investigating material failures, root cause analysis of defects, and recommending corrective and preventive actions. This involves using a range of laboratory techniques such as microscopy (optical, SEM), hardness testing, tensile testing, impact testing, and spectroscopy. You will also develop and implement material quality control plans, inspect incoming materials, and manage supplier quality for critical engine components. Your primary responsibilities will include performing laboratory tests, analyzing results, and supporting the overall quality assurance of our mining operations. Key Responsibilities : Conduct chemical tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, including ICP-OES, AAS, titrators, and pH meters. Prepare and standardize chemical reagents, solutions, and test samples. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to maintain quality assurance. Perform troubleshooting and routine maintenance of laboratory instruments; support method validation and instrument calibration processes.
