Role & responsibilities An IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) audit candidate for Core QMS (Quality Management System) should possess a strong understanding of quality management principles, the IRIS standard (based on ISO 9001 and ISO 22163), and the specific requirements of the railway industry. They should also be familiar with the IRIS audit process, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up. Key areas of knowledge and experience for an IRIS audit candidate include: Quality Management Systems (QMS): A deep understanding of QMS principles, including process approach, risk-based thinking, and continuous improvement. ISO 9001: Familiarity with the requirements of ISO 9001, the foundation of the IRIS standard. ISO 22163 (IRIS): In-depth knowledge of the specific requirements outlined in ISO 22163, which includes additional industry-specific requirements for the railway sector. IRIS Certification Process: Understanding the stages of the IRIS certification process, including application, assessment, and surveillance. IRIS Audit Process: Knowledge of how to plan, conduct, and report on an IRIS audit, including using the IRIS Audit Tool. Railway Industry: Familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of the railway industry. Audit Techniques: Proficiency in various audit techniques, such as interviewing, document review, and observation. Non-Conformance Management: Understanding how to identify, document, and manage non-conformities effectively. Corrective and Preventive Actions: Knowledge of how to implement and track corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with auditees and other stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: A commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to identifying areas for enhancement. IRIS Performance Assessment: Understanding the scoring system and the different performance levels (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold) within the IRIS certification. Incumbent must have 6 to 10 years selling experience in PEB/Structural Steel/Project Selling/Construction equipment. 1. To generating leads/enquiries/quotes from various sources like Corporate Houses , Public sector & Private companies, Individuals, Non Govt Organizations etc as a per sale activity. 2. Building Rapport with consultants / repeated customers / potential customers / end users /EPC/PMC/Allied products in the specific territory assigned to promote Metal Scope. 3. Study the tender from risk analysis perspective & discuss with RSM for action plan for order intake. 4. Raising quote request forms to design and estimation department based on the customer’s requirements /consultants drawings in order to get the cost of project. 5.Prepare a Techno-commercial offer for submitting to customers 6. Negotiate with customers and finalize the jobs 7. Send the required documents and signed contracts etc. to head office 8. Coordinating with customer and head office to get drawings, and dispatch of material 9. Collection of payments and acceptable letter of credits to complete the jobs 10. Sending sales forecasts and reports to superiors at regular intervals 11. Ensuring post sales services to customers. 12. Customer relations management and customer service 13. To develop new markets/opportunities. Manage tenders and bidding processes including preparation of tender documents, submission, and follow-up. Evaluate quotations, finalize commercial terms, and ensure cost optimization. Monitor and track purchase requisitions, deliveries, and invoice processing. Maintain vendor database and ensure timely payments in line with agreed terms. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis related to commercial activities. Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and company policies. Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues. Support audit processes with proper documentation and reporting. Provide MIS reports on procurement, contracts, and cost savings to management.
