As an experienced Operations Research Scientist Manager/ Sr. Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering solutions for the complex problems faced by our esteemed clients. The ideal candidate should possess at least 9 years of experience in designing and implementing complex/large scale optimization solutions, with exposure to Operations Research algorithm design and implementation. Advanced analytics experience is highly preferred. An in-depth understanding of mathematical modeling, including column generation, cutting plane & LP tools like Cplex, Gurobi, GAMS, and AMPL is expected, with a preference for AIMMS knowledge. Proficiency in Optimization & statistical software such as Cplex, Gurobi, Google OR tool, Arena, SAS, SPSS is desirable. A scientific mindset and keen interest in Operation Research algorithms like routing optimization, mathematical modeling, meta-heuristics, heuristics, forecasting, simulation model, inventory optimization, and supply chain management are essential. Effective Team and Client Management skills are crucial for this role. Additional skills such as programming experience in Python/Java/C#/ C++/R of the optimization algorithm will be advantageous. A degree in Operations Research, Computer Science (with operations research experience), Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field from a reputed institute is required. As a part of the QpiAI Quantum hardware team, your role will involve the design and characterization of Quantum Processors, Cryogenic Quantum Control Circuits, RF Control Hardware, and QpiAI ASGP. We are currently seeking a talented engineer with a strong mathematical background and sharp algorithmic skills to join us in building a high-performance optimization infrastructure. We need someone who excels at translating abstract optimization problems into efficient, production-ready solvers. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement fast, scalable solvers for complex optimization problems in both discrete and continuous domains. - Develop constraint modeling frameworks and metaheuristic algorithms based on solid mathematical principles. - Evaluate solution quality, convergence behavior, and performance benchmarks across various instances and datasets. - Collaborate with system engineers to seamlessly integrate your solver modules into larger optimization stacks and real-time decision systems. - Explore and incorporate techniques from mathematical programming, stochastic methods, and quantum-inspired approaches. What We're Looking For - Strong mathematical foundation including expertise in linear algebra, combinatorics, graph theory, numerical methods, convex and discrete optimization. - Proficiency in algorithmic and systems thinking, with the ability to write efficient, optimized code and address performance bottlenecks. - Exceptional programming skills in Python and C++ (or Rust/Julia); familiarity with low-level optimizations and profiler-driven development is advantageous. - Experience in algorithm design for constraint systems, heuristics, and metaheuristics. - Hands-on coding experience with a notable presence on platforms like Leetcode, Codeforces, or Hackerrank. - Product-oriented mindset with the capability to design modular, reusable, and scalable solvers suitable for production systems. - Exposure to quantum computing or hybrid quantum-classical paradigms is a bonus. Good to Have - Familiarity with model encoding techniques and constraint representations. - Experience in benchmarking on large-scale combinatorial datasets. - Participation in mathematical modeling competitions such as INMO, COMAP, or Kaggle competitions involving optimization.
