Description
The Data Governance Office (DGO) at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is an essential enterprise function with the objective of setting and enabling businesses and internal functions to meet minimum standards for data governance and data resilience. The primary goal is to ensure that LSEG produces trusted data for its products and services, both externally and internally. As a Metadata Specialist at the Data Governance Office (DGO), you will play a key role in managing and enhancing metadata quality, ensuring compliance with data governance standards, and supporting the implementation of data governance tools like Collibra and Solidatus. Collaboration with various departments will be crucial to ensure effective data governance practices and continuous improvement of metadata management. Key Responsibilities: - Metadata Management: Oversee the management and quality assurance of metadata to ensure accuracy, consistency, and up-to-date information. - Tooling Support: Provide support for data governance tools such as Collibra and Solidatus, including managing change initiatives and ensuring effective integration with other systems. - Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs for users of data governance tools, offering ongoing support to ensure proper use and adoption. - Operational Efficiency: Monitor and maintain data governance tools, handle network issues, manage access controls, and ensure metadata quality assurance. - Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the DGO and other departments to align data governance practices and standards. - Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to enhancing metadata quality assurance, expanding validation rule-sets, and integrating new features. - Business Analysis: Analyze end-user and stakeholder requests related to data governance tooling and define functional solutions. - Agile Practices: Participate in Agile-based planning and prioritization of deliverables, maintaining transparency through JIRA tickets. Skills & Experience: - Technical Expertise: Proficiency with data governance tools like Collibra, Solidatus, and Power BI, along with an understanding of business process design. - Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. - Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels. - Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment. - Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile practices and the software development lifecycle.
