About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cognos Developer with 2 to 5 years of in-depth experience to join our growing analytics team. The ideal candidate will possess strong and proven expertise in IBM Cognos Analytics, including report development, dashboard creation, and metadata modeling. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our Cognos reporting and analytics solutions to empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. A solid understanding of SQL and data analysis principles is essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement sophisticated reports and interactive dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Dashboard Designer, Analysis Studio). Develop and maintain robust Framework Manager models and/or streamlined Data Modules to ensure accurate, efficient, and secure data access for all Cognos reporting. Write and optimize complex SQL queries against various data sources. Perform thorough data analysis to understand data structures, identify potential data quality issues, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of Cognos reporting outputs. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather detailed reporting requirements, understand their analytical needs, and translate these into effective Cognos solutions. Participate actively in the complete Cognos development lifecycle, encompassing design, development, rigorous testing, seamless deployment, and comprehensive documentation. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Cognos reports, dashboards, and data connectivity within the Cognos environment. Contribute to the ongoing maintenance, performance tuning, and optimization of the Cognos Analytics platform. Implement and maintain robust security measures within Cognos to ensure appropriate user access and data governance. Stay informed about the latest features and best practices within the IBM Cognos Analytics ecosystem. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
