The key responsibilities for this role include: - Working closely with Module Leads and Product teams to understand product NFRs. - Providing data points to measure system performance and scale. - Identifying choke points in the system and proposing solutions. - Collaborating with the technology team to implement advancements and architectural changes. - Mentoring junior team members and enabling them to make informed decisions. - Participating in initiatives to re-architect sub-systems to support business growth. - Taking ownership of challenging areas and driving change in consultation with stakeholders. Key Skills required for this role are: - Extensive experience in building highly scalable systems. - 16+ years of development experience in Core Java Programming and related backend Java Frameworks like Spring. - Proficiency in distributed programming concepts and familiarity with messaging platforms like RabbitMQ, Kafka. - Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of data structures. - Advanced concurrency skills in Java including understanding of locking mechanisms. - Proficiency in JDBC and relational database systems. - Hands-on experience in Java performance tuning, garbage collectors, and profilers. - Understanding of distributed design practices and willingness to continuously learn. - Good understanding of design patterns and their practical applications. - Advocate of Test Driven Development (TDD), self-driven, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
