Job Location : madurai manufacturing Plant Role & responsibilities Purpose of the role: The role will be a part of Application Engineering team and report to Manager Application engineering. The primary focus of this role is to support Amways Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related digital applications, ensuring seamless IT/OT platform and data integrations and operational efficiency. Secondarily, the role supports the development and maintenance of standard routings in JDE critical for accurate product costing and manufacturing planning. This position requires strong technical expertise, process knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration with plants in India. Maintenance of existing MES program and trouble shoot Implement existing and new systems within supply chain management scope Support critical Application, Industrial & Process Engineering activities Support initiatives related to lean manufacturing, process optimization, and operational excellence. 1. MES and Digital Application Support & Maintenance Maintain, Support & trouble shoot day-to-day services for existing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Chrysalis and other Digital engineering initiatives. Lead & develop small scale implementations of new improvements in applications (CAC, Chrysalis, etc.) and IT/OT integration initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain operations. Support workflows for data automation and Tableau dashboards for real-time manufacturing insights. Ensure systems uptime, stability, and performance for manufacturing and supply chain operations 2. IT/OT Platform and Data Integration Ensure data integrity and smooth digital flow between shopfloor systems and enterprise applications. Develop and maintaining data flows between MES, ERP, SCADA, and other enterprise systems following the Amway Global Cybersecurity norms. 3. Standard Routing Management & Product Costing (JDE) Contribute to maintaining standard routings for ITM products, new formulas, and process changes in JDE. Translate manufacturing process data into accurate routing inputs reflecting production realities. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Engineering teams to identify and implement system improvements and troubleshoot issues. Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and data transparency. Collaborate with Planning, Operations, I&S, Finance, and Project Management teams as needed Communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 5. Documentation & Compliance Manage technical documentation including SOPs, user guides, and change control logs. Ensure alignment with global compliance and regulatory requirements. Maintain primary and alternate routing with proper documentation. 6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements. Support manufacturing digital transformation. Required skills and competencies. Technical Skills: The candidate should be well experienced in modern data science and product analytics tools and techniques such as Python, R, Machine learning, C#; advanced statistics, IT/OT integration and data mining techniques. Should have hand-on experience on Manufacturing Engineering Project Executions Experience with Industrial Automation, control systems like PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS systems Experience in data base handling with SQL, PSSQL, ORACLE or MONGODB Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, industrial MES protocols, network and system architecture and test automation Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes for FMCG/pharmaceuticals, or cosmeceuticals, and familiarity with packaging and production equipment. Proficiency in CAC MES systems, Chrysalis, JDE ERP, and Tableau. Preferred to have any formal training/certification on automation or MES development or software solutions such as Ignition, TIA, Wonderware etc. Behavioral skills: Analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to manage data accuracy and troubleshoot.
