Assist in repair and reconditioning of static equipment/components Provide inputs in planning for major shutdown activities and execution of major overhauls Evaluate QAPs for all spares /consumables being procured as a part of the maintenance / projects cell Review concession / deviation exercise for all pending inspection of equipment and ensure compliance to set procedure Prepare inspection reports, give recommendations and record history. Ensure all inspection records are updated in systems like SAP and Meridium Perform Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of repetitive failures and report findings. Apply the leanings from RCA to proactively increase the reliability of other assets Support in technical due diligence for major activities, minor projects, plant expansions and modifications to ensure adherence to established guidelines Update corrosion manuals as applicable. Assist in developing RBI for the identified plants as per objective Update master data of the fixed equipment in SAP/Meridium. Bad actor identification and analysis to reduce equipment downtime. Data analytics, digital tools/ technologies and operationalize upgraded work practices through digital transformation. Overall integrity effectiveness and management which includes, criticality assessments, consequence/ complexity rating of fixed equipment, development of fit-for-purpose risk based strategies, setting optimum task intervals including considerations to local regulations/ statutory requirements, timely review of inspection findings, and ever-greening of strategies. Regional oversight and stewardship of integrity work product metrics for quality, effectiveness, and efficiency in achieving business unit/ manufacturing site objectives. Coordination and communication between various global centers and business affiliates for various aspects like, knowledge transfer, sharing learnings, skill management and maintaining business relationships. Technical mentoring and continuous on-the-job guidance to new members in the team. Ability to learn and adapt to an agile and flexible working environment, continuously stay abreast of latest developments in industry standards/ practices, bring in leanings/ experience to challenge and improvise company work processes/ practices. Job Role: Structural Engineer Roles & Responsibilities: Provide strong technical leadership in structural domain for Oil & Gas both upstream/downstream assets Provide technical solution in the area of structural Offshore/Onshore Asset Integrity Has ability to provide innovative solutions /automations/ methodologies to build a differentiation for Quest Global Structural Integrity Plan Management and Execution Foundations and pilings for equipment and structures Dynamic analysis of foundations and structures Drive and manage Engineers to execute structural Integrity workflows with Quality at scale Provide pre-sales support for new business deals and post-sales support for the new projects assigned Drive core team members to recruit skilled resources and train internal resources to build required competency Coordinate the activities between customer, sales organization and global technical teams Flexible to make short business trips to offshore offices & sites Lead, develop, nurture and manage global customer relationships and drive strategic partnering initiatives to address unique business situations and complex technology needs Review technical scoping, estimation, perform feasibility studies, mapping customer expectations and design solutions Work Experience: Engineering degree in civil/structural engineering 3 to 15 years of oil gas experience in related industry (Onshore/Offshore structural projects) Strong technical & analytical skills Should have sound knowledge on Oil & Gas upstream and downstream business in the following areas Risk Based Inspection methodologies Fixed equipment inspection tasks/ procedures Inspection Optimization Fitness for Service & Life extension studies Repair scope preparation Structural Damage Mechanisms of Offshore & Onshore structures Familiarity with codes and standards Knowledge of software (STAAD Pro, SACS, APM Meridium, Pestra, Credo, etc.) Excellent verbal & written communication Should be able to perform structural risk assessments of Offshore & Onshore structures Experience with fixed and floating offshore structures, such as Concrete Gravity Based, Steel Jacket Platforms, Floating Production Storage and Offloading Units, Semi-Submersible Management of engineering design Perform fitness for service engineering assessment based on existing conditions. Provide repair scope after structural assessments for continuous operations. Provide insights for advanced inspection technologies in civil/structural inspections. Should have knowledge of corrective and preventative maintenance strategy Hand-on experience in developing design calculation sheets for reinforced concrete and steel structures using applicable design codes and standards. Able to identify the anomaly from civil / structural inspection report (for offshore topside/underwater and onshore structure), perform risk assessment and provide repair recommendation using sound engineering judgement and best practices.
