The job code for this position is MGR1844. You will be designated as a Manager - Merchandising Analyst in the Malabar Head Quarters business vertical. Your primary responsibility will be to provide inputs based on the analysis conducted and implementation of MGD's inventory allocation strategies, merchandise assortment, and other related strategies. You will monitor store category sales and plan tools to design strategies to enhance financial performance for all merchandise. Additionally, you will conduct analysis and provide suggestions for planograms, product life cycles, and inventory allocation strategies in MGD Retail Pan India to facilitate decisions on the choice and presentation of the product. In your role, you will prepare and upload planograms for new stores, renovations, or amendments in coordination with store/region/headquarters. You will also plan inventory up-stocking and assortment mix in MGD retail based on the study conducted on timing and scope of seasonal changes. Conducting demand and sales forecasting on a monthly basis will be crucial, and you will review and analyze data and MIS to suggest rectifications in physical inventory. Collaborating with Senior Management, you will play a key role in developing supply strategies to minimize stockouts while maximizing inventory turnovers. Identifying product life cycles in advance to avoid slow-moving stocks and planning entry and exit strategies will be part of your responsibilities. You will conduct analysis of portfolio management/design bank to ensure design/category presence in alignment with the product policy and norms. Your coordination skills will be vital as you work closely with Product Category Managers in retail chains to audit product categories, analyze sales trends, and position products accurately. Providing guidance on selling patterns and future purchase timing to Regional Merchandisers will help eliminate the risk of product unavailability. You will also analyze the financial performance of merchandisers and recommend suggestions for improvement. In terms of reporting and MIS, you will conduct in-depth sales analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities within the product concept. Using technological tools for merchandise analysis will enhance efficiency and accuracy. You will prepare analytical dashboards, maintain business-related data, and update stakeholders on sales trends and product life cycles in a timely manner. Your role will involve generating and pulling data from relevant software to identify performers and non-performers in product categories, enabling the development of future solutions. Publishing Planogram adherence reports and preparing financial and statistical reports for the merchandising department will also be part of your responsibilities. Monitoring merchandising matrices and developing innovative strategies for analyzing consumer patterns will contribute to key decision-making by the Senior Management. This position falls under the Operations (All Others) functional area and is located in Calicut, Kerala, India. The educational qualification required for this role is a B Tech/BE degree. The ideal candidate should be between 32 to 35 years old with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience. The salary range offered is as per industry standard in Indian Rupees (INR).,
