Job Title: Data Lead Engineer /Architect GCP Location: Bangalore/Kochi/Trivandrum/Remote Experience: 10+ Years Work Mode: Hybrid/ Remote Company: NeST Digital | STC About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Data Architect/ Lead Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, implement, and optimize large-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle, leading a team of engineers, and ensuring scalable and efficient data architecture aligned with business needs. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Dataproc). Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to define data requirements and implement data-driven solutions. Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Oversee data quality, governance, and compliance best practices. Mentor and guide junior data engineers and ensure adherence to engineering standards. Integrate diverse data sources (structured and unstructured) into unified data models and storage solutions. Define and implement data security policies and access control mechanisms in GCP. Participate in architectural reviews, design discussions, and code reviews. Required Skills & Experience: 10+years of total experience with at least 7 + years in Data Engineering . Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, etc. Strong programming skills in Python Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts. Experience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Composer, etc.). Knowledge of data warehousing concepts , schema design, and performance tuning. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control (Git). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills. Good to Have: Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS / Azure). Familiarity with DataOps, MLOps, and BI visualization tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
