About the Role:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of

  data pipelines and ETL processes

   using GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Dataproc).
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to define data requirements and implement data-driven solutions.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee data quality, governance, and compliance best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Integrate diverse data sources (structured and unstructured) into unified data models and storage solutions.
• Define and implement data security policies and access control mechanisms in GCP.
• Participate in architectural reviews, design discussions, and code reviews.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+years of total experience with at least 7

  + years in Data Engineering

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

   – BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, etc.
• Strong programming skills in

  Python

• Proficiency in

  SQL

   and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Composer, etc.).
• Knowledge of

  data warehousing concepts

  , schema design, and performance tuning.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control (Git).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
• Familiarity with DataOps, MLOps, and BI visualization tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
