About the Job Company Description Meraj Gems and Jewellery, based in Bengaluru, is a luxury brand specializing in fine gems and jewellery. Alongside our core offerings, we manage diverse business functions that require strong financial and compliance expertise. Location: Karnataka (Remote) We are looking for a Senior Accountant to manage accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and company setup processes. The role involves end-to-end finance operations, vendor and bank coordination, and supporting business decisions. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations (AP, AR, reconciliations, general ledger). Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and handle monthly/annual closing. Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, ROC, and other statutory filings. Support company setup, account setups, and India compliance requirements. Liaise with banks, auditors, vendors, and regulatory authorities. Provide financial insights for budgeting, cost optimization, and growth. Oversee basic administrative and office compliance tasks. Requirements Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting/Commerce ( CA Inter/Master’s preferred ). 1–2 years of accounting/finance experience (jewellery/retail preferred). Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, ROC, and labour compliances. Experience in company/account setups and India corporate compliances. Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask, work independently, and travel locally when needed.
