Description
Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the MEP team (Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing technicians). Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely execution of MEP work. Ensure all MEP works are in accordance with the design drawings, specifications, and local regulations. Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and other MEP components. Supervise routine inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure proper functionality. Perform troubleshooting and resolve any issues or breakdowns in MEP systems. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all work performed complies with safety standards, quality control protocols, and industry regulations. Review and monitor MEP work for adherence to project timelines, quality, and budget constraints. Report on MEP project status to management and recommend improvements when necessary. Team Management: Manage the allocation of resources and assignments within the MEP team. Conduct regular performance reviews and training to enhance team skills. Provide guidance and support to junior staff and ensure effective teamwork. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of MEP work, materials, and equipment used. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Report any discrepancies or issues encountered on-site and propose solutions. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards for all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing works. Conduct regular safety meetings and provide training to the team on safe work practices. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with MEP systems.
