Reviewing, approval/commenting on all MEP Shop drawings, Coordination drawings, method statements and material submittals. Detailed supervision and day to day inspection of the works as directed by the Resident Engineer. Supervise the contractors to ensure the works are constructed as per specification and approved GFC drawings. Ability to review MEP drawings, schematic diagrams, load schedule and related specifications and should be able to suggest any changes if needed as per Client requirement. Completion of various forms, documenting the quality and progress of the various sections and areas of the construction work in accordance with the relevant supervision procedure. Maintain a very high level of Safety awareness and ensure the contractor complies with his obligations. Resolves site issues on site. Coordinate with Client and Contractor for any interface issues occurred at site during progress of the work. Responsible for following up on instructions & commitments associated with the project. Review Project plans, i.e. Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan and to Coordinate with the team for progress of the work as per schedule. Attending regular meetings (on work progress, coordination, design etc.) with Contractor, Vendors and Client to discuss the key issues related to the project. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Represent testing and commissioning of complete system. We are looking for a skilled Senior MEP Engineer to manage the planning, design, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. The role requires ensuring the integration of all MEP systems and ensuring compliance with safety, quality standards, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure proper integration of systems. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems. Assist in the preparation of technical submittals, ensuring all submissions comply with the project specifications. Conduct regular site inspections and ensure MEP work is in compliance with design and safety standards. Check contractors' bills and certifications to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements. Oversee the testing and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure functionality and compliance with relevant standards. Ensure adherence to all relevant IS codes, safety protocols, and quality standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering , Electrical and Electronics Engineering , or Mechanical Engineering . Minimum 10-15 years of experience in MEP roles within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of MEP works, relevant IS codes, material testing, and quality standards. Proficiency in project documentation, site inspections, and vendor management. Expertise in tools such as AutoCAD and MS Office . Ability to lead and manage MEP projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with technical specifications. Preferred: Candidates based in Tamil Nadu or nearby regions, with familiarity with local codes and regulations. Prior experience working in construction projects in South India , especially in Chennai .
