Responsible for engineering, design, and modification activities related to mechanical equipment, vessels and tanks and piping systems including equipment and piping specifications and procurement. May be involved with the support of installation and operation & maintenance of equipment. Discipline concerning air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, combustion, heat transfer, energy, power, fuels, propulsion, machinery, tools, manufacturing, fluids, plumbing, fire suppression systems and devices, water supplies and pumping systems for fire protection. Discipline covers the ability to solve problems that deliver and optimise safe, sustainable and ethical solutions for the design, production and operation of devices, machines, structures, processes and systems involving mechanical elements. Duties and Responsibilities Serve as senior technical resource and technical advisor for the team Provide specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects Use expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings Prepare technical specification sections Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements Lead the design of HVAC systems for healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare standards and regulations Develop and implement innovative solutions for infection control and air quality management in medical environments Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development and technical expertise Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HVAC designs with other building systems Conduct energy modelling and analysis to optimise system performance and reduce environmental impact Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met and designs are effectively implemented Oversee the commissioning process for HVAC systems in healthcare projects Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in HVAC design for healthcare applications Qualifications BE in Mechanical Engineering. 10+ years of experience working in Mechanical Engineering design, with a focus on HVAC systems for healthcare facilities. Experience in the UK & UAE Building projects, particularly in the healthcare sector. Proven track record in the design of Health Care, residential, commercial, retail and hospitality sectors. Advanced knowledge of software applications including IES, HAP, Trace, Elite, MEP Revit, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers in HVAC design and engineering principles. In-depth understanding of healthcare-specific HVAC requirements, including infection control and air quality management. Familiarity with relevant healthcare standards and regulations in the UK and UAE, such as HTM 03-01 and ASHRAE Standard 170. Experience in energy modelling and analysis for optimising HVAC system performance in healthcare settings. Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, architects, and contractors. Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council UK or equivalent professional body. LEED or BREEAM accreditation is highly desirable.

We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Senior Engineer (Process Mechanical) to work on our projects in Navi Mumbai/Bangalore/Hyderabad Role accountabilities: Preliminary and Detail design of the process mechanical systems associated with municipal and industrial water and/or wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations Working independently as well as with a team on variousprojects in line with client requirement. Leading and supervising the design team andensure the project is delivered with high quality withinthe program and budget Liaising with the lead region to demonstrate an understanding of scope, knowledge, and experience to provide innovative design solutions as per best engineering practices. Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design Diligent focus on the quality of deliverables Manage project budget and schedule Building a profile in the industry and keeping up-to-date with innovations and developments Coaching & Mentoring of junior staff Compliance to the Arcadis Health and Safety standards Qualifications & Experience: B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical, Civil, and Environmental Engineering from a recognized University. M.E/M. Tech desirable. 5 to 10 years experience in designing mechanical and process equipment for water supply & water treatment plants, sewerage & sewage treatment plants and drainage system. Required Competencies: Proficiency in designing and analyzing hydraulic systems such as pump stations, including pumps, valves, and pipelines. Knowledge of Auto CAD MEP, MEP Revit, Navisworks is a must. Ability to prepare and check general specifications, mechanical specifications, contract documents etc. Hands-on experience with site supervision, construction support, and commissioning activities. Experience in review of P&ID drawings related to the water and wastewater treatment process. Possess strong technical background and capability to design raw and potable water pumping station, sewage pumping stations, particularly in association with pumps and associated piping, preparation of pump curve, selection of pumps, air blowers, chlorination equipment building services, Exposure to piping standards for ductile iron and/or steel large diameter pipes and drafting material specification is a must Knowledge of international codes, standards and practices related to UK/Middle East/ USA water industry is preferable. Understanding of health and safety standards and environmental regulations. Experience within a consultancy environment specifically in the water/wastewater industry will be preferred Must have previously worked during various phases of the project cycle from feasibility to commissioning of water/wastewater pumping station and treatment plants Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills.
