In this role, you will assist the Cost Managers and Senior Cost Managers in drafting proposals for upcoming projects and various submission activities. You will be expected to support the team as necessary and actively engage with clients, responding to their requests accurately and on time. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling multiple packages in projects, creating estimates and cost plans for MEP Packages, and supporting the team with estimation and reviewing the MEP scope of work. Proficiency in Cost X & data books, client interactions, MEP packages, and basic knowledge of Indian and global project procurement are essential for this role. You will also be involved in preparing Quantification Take Offs for Cost Plans/BoQs and implementing the QA/QC plan. We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 3 years of experience in cost management, ideally from a consultancy background, with a focus on data centre projects and life sciences projects. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Quantification Take Offs and 1 year of past work experience with Cost X (or similar software) is required. If you are chartered or on the path to completion, we can provide assistance. A degree or comparable experience in cost management or construction discipline is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to manage priorities and deadlines, and a passion for building strong relationships with team members and clients are qualities we value. Role Objective: Assisting in preparation of Budget and Budget Estimation for MEP packages, evaluate the Tenders received from Design, Prepare the Rate Master and update the rates time to time based on market conditions, conduct periodical techno-commercial Audits for defined Projects. Value Engineering, Prepare DD level budgets and subsequent CTC. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate with various design cells to understand the Design intent on specific Projects. • Estimation for various MEP packages and pricing the same. Preparing the comparative for the estimated cost as per Policies and recently completed / awarded packages. • Review of Design development Packages and explore further need for Cost Optimization across various MEP packages and Value Engineering options feasible. • Ensure confirmation of adherence to various policies and norms, while review of tenders • Ensure timely and accurate review of tenders and release it to procurement for further process. • Assist in Preparation of DD budgets and provide inputs on variation in Concept Design Vs. DD Design and cost implication thereto. • Maintain active communication with various departments like Design, Procurement & Construction Management. • Obtain the market rates and prepare Rate Analysis for all the items and update the Rate Master periodically. • Prepare the database of the market rates, monitor the trends and update the same time to time. • Conduct Techno-commercial Audits for Post Contract works and suggest improvements in the process to avoid irregularities / mistakes. Preferred candidate profile Project Cost Budgeting & Cost Monitoring, Estimation, Rate Analysis, Post contract activities for large scale Real Estate developments, high rises & Mega Cities experience is preferred.
