Purpose of the Position/ Summary

The MEP Engineer is responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of the construction project like designing, implementing, and supervising electrical systems to ensure they meet safety standards, comply with regulations, and function efficiently. The MEP Engineer is responsible for delivering high quality electrical and plumbing installations within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities & Activities

Approvals and Compliance

• Get the necessary approvals and licences for lift, NOC for fire from Chief Electrical Inspector, Govt of India

Plan Verification

• Verify the plans as per the MEP drawings and coordinate with Sr Planning engineer before the starting of the project and during construction with the project manager.

Material Selection and Procurement

• Coordinate with the Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager for inputs regarding the requirements of materials and ensure the purchase of quality products according to the standards specified
• Verify if the products are of quality and as per the specification

Installation Supervision

• Supervise the installation of electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure they are installed correctly and according to design specifications.

Quality Assurance

• Monitor the quality of electrical workmanship and materials to ensure adherence to project standards and specifications.

Safety Management

• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all workers involved in electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical installations.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of electrical drawings, plumbing drawings, specifications, installation reports, and other related project documentation.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate project updates to the project management team..

Academic Qualifications and Work Experience

• BE Electrical Engineering
• 10 years experience in construction industry
