You are a talented 2D Game Artist who will be responsible for creating character concepts, environments, backgrounds, visual effects, and decorations within our game engine. Collaborating with our Senior artist, you will ensure the delivery of top-quality art for our indie games. Your key responsibilities will include creating art in various styles, ranging from realistic to cartoon, from initial concept to final implementation in the game. You will conceptualize, design, and develop captivating 2D in-game visual effects, as well as produce high-quality texture content for the game world. Additionally, you will be in charge of decorating and optimizing art within our in-house game engine, crafting character concepts, environments, backgrounds, and game interfaces and menus. Being actively involved in the game creation process, you will liaise with the design team to ensure effective contribution to the art pipeline while adhering to target platform constraints and meeting project deadlines and milestones. To be eligible for this role, you should possess a BA in art media, graphic design, or have equivalent relevant experience. You must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a video game artist and demonstrate a thorough understanding of digital/traditional and graphic art techniques. Proficiency in 2D editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is essential to deliver high-quality 2D assets. A solid background in academic drawing, sketching, or illustration will be advantageous.
