As a senior manager of the network operations team in India, you will lead a team of network engineers responsible for supporting 24x7 network operations of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. Your team's responsibilities include monitoring and managing the physical network infrastructure across all data centers and regions to ensure high service availability, meeting business needs, service level agreements (SLAs), and ensuring customer satisfaction and service excellence. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in leading and managing network engineers in a large organization. You should be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including network engineers and other technical groups. Demonstrated experience in managing cloud network operations or global network deployments is essential. You must be comfortable supporting distributed systems that interact with various services and thrive in a collaborative, agile environment. Providing direction and mentorship to your teams, as well as conducting performance calibrations, will be part of your responsibilities. Roles and Responsibilities: - Lead and expand the network operations center in India, overseeing a team of network engineers supporting 24x7 network operations of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. - Develop a team of highly skilled network operations engineers. - Ensure the operational health of the network infrastructure, maintaining high service availability to meet business needs and customer satisfaction. - Establish appropriate coverage to meet business needs, SLAs, and ensure excellence in customer service and satisfaction. - Develop, implement, and refine network operations procedures, standards, and policies to align with best practices and SLAs. - Continuously improve incident and problem management procedures to enhance network operations and address triage, response, resolution, escalation, and communication. - Implement processes for Change Control/Management Procedure to control and coordinate changes in the production environment. - Collaborate with other engineering areas and business stakeholders on technology deployments, system upgrades, and maintenance outages. - Establish a NOC performance measurement framework to provide feedback and scoring for team members on communication and technical skills. - Analyze capacity reports and performance metrics, identify trends, process improvement opportunities, and staff training needs to enhance results. - Encourage the communication of new ideas, solutions, suggestions, and problems for review and implementation. - Participate in continuous learning and professional development. Mandatory Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in delivering and operating large-scale, highly available production network environments (large cloud, ISP, or service provider). - 5-10 years of experience in an engineering and operations management role. - Experience in technical leadership and management roles. - Experience in driving hiring, onboarding new engineers, and ongoing performance management. - Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. - Experience with large data sets and data-driven analytical decision-making. - Ability to influence product roadmap direction, features, and priorities. - Project planning, tracking, and execution using appropriate tools. - Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Hardware Engineering, or related field.
