Mendix architect

As a Mendix Architect / Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of enterprise-level solutions utilizing the Mendix platform. Your primary focus will be to ensure that the solutions align with business objectives and technical requirements. You will provide leadership in establishing architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices for Mendix-based applications within the organization. It will be your responsibility to oversee and guide the development of Mendix applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Developing integration strategies to connect Mendix applications with other enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and third-party services will be a key aspect of your role. You will also be tasked with optimizing system architecture for high availability, performance, and scalability to meet both current and future demands. Collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams will be essential. You will gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure that they are aligned with the organization's business objectives. Establishing governance policies, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to Mendix and company development standards for security, code quality, and compliance will be part of your responsibilities. You will serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues within the Mendix environment, providing expert troubleshooting and problem resolution. Mentoring junior developers and architects, offering technical direction, and facilitating knowledge transfer throughout the team will also be crucial. Staying up-to-date with Mendix updates, new features, and industry trends will enable you to advocate for innovative solutions and continuous improvements in Mendix architecture and development processes. In terms of qualifications, you should possess extensive experience in architecting, designing, and implementing Mendix applications in an enterprise environment. A deep understanding of Mendix architecture, including proficiency in Mendix Studio Pro, Java, JavaScript, APIs, and databases, is required. Experience with integrating Mendix applications with external systems using REST/SOAP services, APIs, and middleware platforms is essential. Additionally, familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git) is beneficial. Strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements as they relate to Mendix applications are all valuable assets. Having a Mendix Advanced Developer Certification or Expert Developer Certification is preferred for this role.,
