As the Director of Training, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all training programs within the hotel. Your primary focus will be on designing, delivering, and evaluating training initiatives to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. Working closely with department heads, you will identify training needs, create effective training solutions, and monitor the impact of training programs on employee performance and business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include conducting regular training needs assessments across all departments, analyzing employee performance data and guest feedback to pinpoint areas for improvement, and collaborating with department managers to address specific training requirements. You will design and develop comprehensive training programs encompassing various formats such as classroom instruction, on-the-job training, workshops, simulations, and e-learning modules. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a library of training materials and delivering engaging training sessions that align with learning objectives while employing various training methodologies and technologies. Moreover, you will schedule and coordinate training sessions efficiently, track attendance and completion rates, and gather participant feedback to continuously enhance training programs. You will also develop and implement performance improvement plans based on training needs and individual development goals, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and legal requirements related to training and employee development. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Education, or a related field, along with at least 5-8 years of experience in hospitality training and development. Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs is essential, as well as strong instructional design and facilitation skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities are crucial, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS).
