The maiden fund from the house of M-Alts is Meenakshi Real Assets Fund, a CAT II SEBI registered AIF fund (since May 2025), which intends to raise Rs 700 crs (Rs 350 crs + Greenshoe of Rs 350 crs) to invest across real estate asset class and geographies through a hybrid structure (30% equity & 70% debt) and generate a reasonably risk adjusted returns for our investors. Job Description: To lead the investment documentation, compliance, negotiation, co-invest 1.Legal Documentation: a.Lead the Investment term sheet, legal dd, documentation, CP compliances for debt & equity transactions fornegotiating the best terms for the fund b.Drafting and vetting agreements with distributors, referral agents and service providers c.Engage, negotiate & onboard law firms or third party service providers for transaction documents & other legal requirements of the organization d.Supporting & guiding the Operations, Sales & Investments team on various legal aspects e.Manage litigation or disputes relating to portfolio companies, counterparties or investors f.Maintaining all the documents appropriately on the central drive 2.Compliance a.Maintain compliance with SEBI AIF regulation for the fund, IM & Sponsor entities b.Develop, implement and monitor internal compliance frameworks, policies and risk controls c.Liasioning with SEBI team during the audits & PPM filings and their updates d.Explaining the documentation & execution support to the investors e.Train internal teams on compliance awareness and regulatory changes 3.Others a.Proof checking the marketing material of the fund including appropriate disclaimers & disclosures b.Managing the investor/distributor documents through-out the fund life 4.Stakeholder Engagement a.Participate in IC meeting and suggesting appropriate measures on legal matters. b.Drafting the documents for investor communication, IC /Advisory board minutes of meeting c.Actively collaborate with internal teams including Operations, Finance, Sales & Investments for seamless investor servicing 5.Fund Documentation: a.Oversee the distribution of fund, offering documents, prospectuses, and other legal materials required for investor onboarding. Experience & Skills: 4-6 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial markets and stakeholder communications. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) Experience of working across the fund lifecycle preferred i.e. from fund raising, deploying to exits and fund closure Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to collaborate with internal and external professionals. Potential to represent M-Alts across the industry and peers. Ability to interact across the command chain to convey the point & negotiate better terms Team player; self-starter; diligent, able to take initiative and work in a dynamic environment; professional and positive attitude High on integrity, Strong interpersonal and Networking skills Industry Preferred: Experience within the AIF/NBFC and Real Estate industry in specific is highly preferred, as it enables a deeper understanding of the dynamics and challenges of the sector.
