Medical Records Department (MRD INCHARGE)

As a MRD Incharge, your role involves maintaining patient files, retrieving files for scheduled appointments, filing study patient charts, and organizing all patient data accurately. You will initiate records for new patients, create computer indexes, and prepare file labels while consistently maintaining filing statistics. Additionally, you will be responsible for auditing the filing sequence to ensure compliance with statutory norms. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain patient files and retrieve them for scheduled appointments - File study patient charts and all patient data accurately - Initiate records for new patients and create computer indexes - Prepare file labels and maintain filing statistics - Audit filing sequence to ensure compliance with statutory norms - Cooperate with all other departments regarding records - Preserve medical records as per statutory norms - Participate in educational and training programs related to quality systems (NABH Guidelines) - Photocopy records and documents for billing and legal services as needed - Send and receive information via facsimile machine - Keep supervisor informed of problems or issues - Monitor supplies needed and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Required: - Minimum 2 years of experience as a MRD Incharge - Proficiency in maintaining and organizing patient files - Knowledge of NABH Guidelines for quality systems - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain filing statistics accurately The company offers a full-time, permanent job type with benefits including a flexible schedule, health insurance, and paid sick time.
