Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Diagnosis:
Conduct physical exams, order and interpret tests (like biopsies, CT, MRI, PET scans), and diagnose the type and stage of cancer.
Treatment planning:
Discuss all viable treatment options with patients and their families, considering the specific cancer, the patient's overall health, and potential side effects to develop a personalized plan.
Treatment administration:
Administer or oversee the administration of treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
Patient management:
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and help manage the symptoms and side effects of cancer and its treatments.
Collaboration:
Work with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and nurses, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Counseling and support:
Provide emotional support, guidance, and education to patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.
