Medical Laboratory In-chare

Job Summary:

The Lab In-Charge is responsible for the overall management and smooth functioning of the laboratory. This includes supervising lab staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols, maintaining equipment and inventory, and supporting scientific or technical operations in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
• Ensure all lab activities comply with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain calibration, maintenance, and proper functioning of lab equipment.
• Monitor and manage inventory of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and consumables.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, test results, and equipment usage.
• Supervise and support lab technicians, assistants, and other staff.
• Ensure proper sample collection, labeling, testing, and disposal procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement and servicing of equipment and supplies.
• Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct training sessions and ensure continuous skill development of lab staff.
• Handle troubleshooting of technical issues within the lab.
• Prepare reports for management or regulatory authorities as required.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and control standards (e.g., ISO, NABL, GLP, etc. where applicable).
• Coordinate with research teams or production units, depending on lab type.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in [relevant field: Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, Engineering, etc.].
• years of experience in laboratory operations or relevant field.
• Knowledge of lab safety protocols and quality control processes.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g., NABL, ISO, FDA, OSHA).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
