Job Description

As a Medical Editor - Specialist at Omnicom Global Solutions (OGS), you will play a crucial role in driving and translating creative ideas into impactful designs for global clients, including Fortune 50 companies. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading as a copyeditor on one brand, and/or serving as a backup on various brands. - Copy editing, fact-checking, and proofreading a range of promotional and educational materials for physicians, healthcare professionals, and patients from manuscript through production. - Collaborating with Account Services, Copywriters, Art Directors, and team members to ensure high-quality print and digital materials in terms of accuracy, utility, clarity, readability, and appeal. - Working with internal teams to ensure quality control of projects, including copyediting, styling, fact-checking, and proofreading. - Collaborating closely with writers and account team on content and scheduling. - Assisting copywriters and account team with research and article retrieval. - Creating and maintaining a brand style guide. - Managing multiple projects simultaneously, effectively allocating resources, and maintaining communication with cross-functional teams and clients. In terms of qualifications, the following skills are required: - 9-10 years of experience in copyediting in a pharmaceutical advertising agency, in-house agency, or medical publishing company preferred. - Working knowledge of AMA Manual of Style, 11th edition preferred. - Desire to work with diverse teams, projects, and clients. - Love for learning, teaching, and mentoring. - Ability to adapt easily to different processes and cultures. - Articulate oral and written communication skills. - Curiosity and interest in medical topics. - Strong organization and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to lead a team, work with cross-functional teams, and engage with clients. - Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, allocate resources effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.,
